James Alpe Ltd are incredibly proud to announce that they have been awarded First Place in the Community Award at the ABP Night of Knights Awards on Thursday 21st November 2025 — a recognition that truly reflects the heart and values of our business.

Community and charity are woven into everything we do.  From grassroots sport and agricultural events to life-changing hospices and local families in need, our team consistently goes above and beyond to make a difference.  This award is a celebration not just of our company, but of every member of our team who gives their time, compassion, and energy to support the people around us.

For many years, we have been committed to supporting our local community in meaningful and lasting ways, including:

  • Sponsoring the Clitheroe Wolves U12’s football team and Clitheroe FC, helping young people thrive through sport.
  • Supporting local agricultural shows — with James serving as this year’s President, giving countless hours to the event’s planning and delivery.
  • Running our annual charity golf day, which since 2019 has raised over £17,000 for charities close to our hearts, including the Anaphylaxis Charity, the Izzy Bee Memorial Scholarship, the East Lancashire Remembrance Garden, Ronald McDonald House, North West Air Ambulance, Dementia UK & The East Lancashire Hospice.

One of our most powerful collective achievements came in 2024, when our team raised £7,391 for Pendleside Hospice during the Pendleside Corporate Challenge.  Over four months, our colleagues walked 56 miles from Clitheroe to Ambleside, completed fitness challenges, played 72 holes of golf in one day, hosted quizzes, raffles, bake sales, and donated clothing.

This challenge carried deep meaning for us, as one of our technicians needed the care of Pendleside Hospice during a short and heartbreaking illness.  His passing brought our team together with even greater determination, and we were honoured to receive Pendleside’s Large Business of the Year Award for our efforts.

Managing Director, Lee Shaw commented:

Winning First Place at the ABP Night of Knights Awards is a testament to the passion, resilience, and unity of our incredible team.  It recognises not just fundraising totals, but the authentic, longstanding commitment we have to the people and causes around us. We are deeply grateful for this honour, and we look forward to continuing our mission of making a positive difference in the lives of local people and families”.

Together, we care. Together, we make an impact.
