Artemis Marketing has been awarded a coveted spot on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 list, earning this distinction through exceptional employee satisfaction scores and a workplace culture that puts people first. A sought-after recognition that businesses throughout the UK strive for, The Sunday Times Best Places to Work honours companies across various aspects of employee experience.

Earning this distinction is a testament to Artemis’ dedication to fostering a supportive, empowering, and dynamic work environment where individuals feel valued and inspired to reach their full potential. This achievement celebrates our company’s commitment to its people, but also reinforces its reputation as an employer of choice where top talent is nurtured and thrives.

What does The Sunday Times evaluate?

To determine the UK’s best workplaces, The Sunday Times partners with employee experience platform WorkL, evaluating companies across six categories: rewards and recognition, instilling pride, information sharing, empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction. Artemis proudly achieved an ‘excellent’ employee engagement score, averaging 94% across all of these categories. This outstanding result underscores our commitment to creating an environment where staff know their wellbeing and progression are a priority of the business.

Our Managing Director, Mike Knivett, has shared what this recognition means:

“This award has been a long-standing goal of mine, and it’s a powerful recognition of how far we’ve come as a company. Just 13 years ago, Artemis was simply me and a desk in Haywards Heath. Today, we’re a thriving team, and that transformation is entirely down to the incredible people I’m lucky to work with every day. I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together. Huge thanks to the whole team for the amazing feedback and for being such a big part of this journey.”

How a positive workplace culture benefits your business

Investing in your business means investing in the people who make it what it is. In doing so, your brand and your staff benefit in numerous ways. Employees have the opportunity to work for a company that provides clear pathways for career growth and supports them in their role, something that has been reported time and again to lead to higher job satisfaction, productivity, and innovation.

When your employees are passionate, motivated, and fully engaged in their roles, they naturally become ambassadors of your brand, championing its values and mission in every interaction. Their enthusiasm for their work translates into meaningful client relationships, a more personalised service, and a genuine commitment to going above and beyond. As a result, clients aren’t just more satisfied but more likely to develop long-term loyalty to your brand, which strengthens your company’s reputation and competitive edge.

While The Sunday Times Best Places to Work recognition undoubtedly enhances a business’s reputation, its impact extends far beyond this, providing authentic data on what a business is doing well in supporting its team and where it can achieve more. Most importantly, it shows that you value employee opinions and are willing to act on their feedback. Neglect this and you risk your staff becoming disengaged and more likely to move on.

Applying for the Best Places to Work

If you’d like to earn the same recognition for your business, applying couldn’t be easier. The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list provides your company with the chance to not only prove to customers, clients, and prospective hires that you value the employee experience, but also share with you valuable data for enhancing your workplace culture further.

To apply, select whether you’re a small, medium, big or very big organisation, based on the number of staff you have, and when you’d like the survey to start and end. Apply for your awards package, allowing you to send out your survey to employees, and then wait for the results to come in. When the responses have been collated, the panel will assess the results for the final lists.

Any business owner knows just how important talent retention is, and a great workplace environment is so critical to not only holding on to your best employees but attracting more as your company grows. A positive place to work is based on so many factors, but at the heart is an understanding that businesses need to evolve and adapt all the time. Artemis’ goal is to remain a place where employees enjoy coming to work every day and continue to learn and grow in their careers.
