Arne Mielken from Customs Manager has produced this extremely comprehensive and very informative briefing. To cut red tape and costs for importing and exporting with the EU, the UK will align with EU Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) legislation.
If you touch food, plants, or animals, this is for you.
• Small Producers: Who previously gave up on the EU because the £200 vet fee was more than their profit.
• Logistics & Ports: Who needs to rethink their border infrastructure?
• Veterinarians: Who will see their role shift from “signing forms” to “overseeing high-level standards.”

• Seed Potatoes: A huge win for Scottish and Northern English farmers.
• Shellfish: Certain types of bivalves were stuck in regulatory limbo.
