Nelson Pride in Place Calls on Local Businesses to Help Shape the Town’s Future
Nelson Pride in Place is inviting local businesses to come together for a Business Coffee Morning on Friday 23rd October, as part of its efforts to strengthen relationships with the business community and encourage greater involvement in the town’s future.
Nelson has a proud history of enterprise, industry and independent businesses. From its manufacturing heritage to the small businesses and entrepreneurs operating today, the town’s business community has always played an important role in its identity. As Nelson looks towards its future through the Pride in Place programme, ensuring that local businesses have a voice in shaping that future is an important priority.
The upcoming Business Coffee Morning will provide an opportunity for business owners, employers and entrepreneurs to meet, learn more about Nelson Pride in Place and share their thoughts on the opportunities and challenges facing the town. The session will focus on understanding what matters most to local businesses, exploring ways to improve Nelson as a place to work and do business, and identifying opportunities for greater collaboration.
Organisers are particularly keen to hear from businesses of all sizes, from independent traders and self-employed individuals to established companies and larger employers. The ambition is to build relationships that extend beyond a single event, creating opportunities for ongoing conversations between Nelson Pride in Place and the people who contribute to the local economy.
Local businesses are not simply stakeholders in Nelson’s future. They are an essential part of it. Their investment, employment opportunities, experience and ideas can all contribute towards building a more prosperous and thriving town. By bringing businesses together, Nelson Pride in Place hopes to encourage new connections, strengthen the local business network and ensure that the voices of those working in Nelson are heard as plans for the town develop.
