James Alpe Charity Golf Day Raises £5,133.57 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation

James Alpe’s annual Charity Golf Day took place on Friday 11th September 2026 at Clitheroe Golf Club, bringing together businesses, colleagues, friends and family for a fantastic day of golf, fundraising and community spirit.

Over the years, James Alpe has proudly supported a variety of worthwhile charities through its annual golf day. This year, the company chose to raise funds for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting cancer care across local hospitals by funding vital research, specialist equipment and improved treatments for patients.

This year’s chosen charity held a particularly special meaning for everyone at James Alpe.

One of the company’s much-valued team member and friend is currently receiving cancer treatment. Her strength, courage and positivity throughout her journey have been an inspiration to those around her, and the entire James Alpe team is incredibly proud of her. Knowing that the funds raised would support a charity helping people just like their colleague made this year’s event even more meaningful.

It was a reminder that behind every charity are real people, families, friends and colleagues whose lives are touched by the incredible work these organisations do.

A Fantastic Day of Golf and Generosity

The event featured an 18-hole shotgun start at Clitheroe Golf Club and was once again heavily supported by the motor industry.

Work providers, insurance companies, suppliers, friends, family and work colleagues all came together to take part, demonstrating the fantastic relationships James Alpe has built across the industry over the years.

The day was not only an opportunity to enjoy some friendly competition on the golf course, but also a chance to bring people together in support of a cause that means so much to the James Alpe team.

Lee Shaw, Managing Director of James Alpe, commented:

“Every year, our charity golf day is something we really look forward to. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring together the people and businesses we work with throughout the year, enjoy a great day of golf and, most importantly, raise money for a worthwhile cause.

This year has been particularly special to us. Having one of our own team members currently receiving cancer treatment has brought home just how important the work of charities like Rosemere really is. We are incredibly proud of her strength and positivity, and it has given us all an extra reason to make this year’s event a success.

The support we receive from across the motor industry never fails to amaze me. I’d particularly like to thank Cunbar Paints for being our main sponsor for the second year running, along with everyone who entered a team, sponsored, donated or helped organise the day.

To have raised £5,133.57 for such a fantastic charity is something we’re all extremely proud of. It’s a real team effort, and I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and continued support.”

A fantastic day, an incredible amount raised and, most importantly, a very worthwhile cause supported.

Thank you from everyone at James Alpe!
