James Alpe Charity Walk

On Saturday 5th September, just under 60 James Alpe employees and family members came together for a very special charity walk in memory of their much-loved colleague and dear friend, Simon ❤️

Starting in Barley, the group took on a challenging 7.5-mile route, climbing the Pendle Hill Steps to the Trig Point before continuing through Downham and Chatburn, finishing in Clitheroe around four hours later.

The day was a wonderful reflection of the community that has been built at James Alpe. Seeing so many employees and their families come together, supporting and encouraging one another throughout the challenge, demonstrated the strong sense of friendship and togetherness that exists far beyond the working day.

Managing Director Lee said:

“Saturday was a very special day for everyone at James Alpe. To see so many of our team, along with their families, come together in Simon’s memory. Simon was a much-loved friend and colleague who meant a great deal to so many people here. I’m also extremely proud of the community we have at James Alpe. We spend a huge part of our lives together, and I’ve always wanted this to be more than simply a place where people come to work. The way everyone supported each other throughout the walk, while raising such a fantastic amount for an important cause, was something very special to see. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported the event or donated. I know Simon would have been incredibly proud of everyone”

The walk raised a fantastic £1,010 for The Brain Tumour Charity, an achievement everyone involved can be extremely proud of and a fitting way to honour Simon’s memory.

For James Alpe, being part of the team has always meant more than simply sharing a workplace. There is a genuine sense of family and community, with colleagues supporting one another through both the good times and the more difficult ones. Saturday was a particularly special example of that.

Simon remains very much a part of the James Alpe family and is fondly remembered by so many. The friendships, stories and memories shared with him will continue to live on.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved — a great team, supporting a great cause and coming together in memory of a much-loved friend and colleague.

In memory of Simon. Never forgotten. ❤️
