Planet Mark is an internationally recognised sustainability certification that verifies and measures carbon and social data, helping organisations to reduce emissions and make contributions towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Although Planet Mark members are committed to measuring and reducing their carbon emissions annually, Beever and Struthers is accelerating its sustainability journey by calculating its Social Value contribution through the Themes, Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) framework.
Beever and Struthers’ measured carbon footprint for Scopes 1, 2 and core elements of Scope 3 stands at 98.5 tCO2e, working towards being net zero by 2050. The firm will prioritise continuing to embed sustainability into its business operations and achieving annual Planet Mark Business Certification. This will be achieved by following Planet Mark’s robust three-step process: Measuring its impact, engaging everyone in the business and communicating its progress.
The firm works with suppliers who are able to evidence their commitments to sustainability with accreditations, while ensuring that its employees have access to a range of carbon literacy training to enable them to make carbon reductions in the workplace and at home.
Geraldine Finn, Marketing & Business Development Director, Beever and Struthers, said:
“We’re incredibly proud of our social value contribution and are grateful to our team (#teambeevers) for their commitment, time and passion. Steve Malkin, CEO and Founder, Planet Mark, adds:
“Measurement is an integral step in a business’s sustainability journey.
