Go Team Pendleside!
On Saturday 29th July, individuals from renowned Lancashire businesses – including our very own Membership Director, Simon Brierley, and Membership Manager, Sarah Dean – banded together to form ‘Team Pendleside’ to tackle the punishing Tough Mudder challenge, raising funds for Pendleside Hospice.
Held at Yorkshire’s Broughton Hall, the challenge is renowned for pushing participants to their limits in an exhilarating adventure that tests both physical and mental strength. The formidable 15km course comprised of 30 daring obstacles, including mud pits, vertical walls, and electrifying shocks.
With sheer grit and determination, Team Pendleside powered through every obstacle, overcoming each one with triumphant spirit, teamwork and (mostly) smiling faces!
Simon said:
“We are incredibly proud to have been part of Team Pendleside’s achievement in completing the Tough Mudder challenge.
“The whole team’s unanimous commitment to getting through it together to raise awareness for the hospice was truly inspiring. The funds raised from this event will go a long way in supporting Pendleside Hospice to provide compassionate end-of-life care.”
Sarah said:
“We’re so happy to have made it through to the end with a great bunch of people. Although gruelling at times, the Pendleside cause made it all worthwhile and gave us the determination to see it through!”
The challenge not only brought a sense of accomplishment for the team, but also united them in a shared purpose – to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Team Pendleside’s dedication exemplified the core values of Pendleside Hospice and the communities it serves.
