The UK government has announced that LITE (Licensing for International Trade and Export) will replace SPIRE, the existing export licensing system.

Important: As of 6 March 2025:
- Standard Individual Export Licences are applied for on LITE.
- SPIRE remains live and all other non-Standard Individual Export Licence applications should continue to be applied for on SPIRE for the time being.
