Community CVS is excited to announce the launch of a 10-week Aspiring Leaders course designed to equip individuals and organisations in the health and social care/VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise) sector with essential leadership and management skills.
This comprehensive training opportunity will run from April 23rd to July 9th, 2025, with sessions held every Wednesday at the CVS in Blackburn.
The course covers a wide array of crucial topics, including:
- Managing Teams
- Coaching, Advice, and Mentoring
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
- Project Management
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Workplace
- Leadership Styles and Skills
- Communication Strategies
- Mission, Vision, and Values
Additional free offer for participants to have the opportunity to pursue a CMI (Chartered Management Institute) qualification in Management and Leadership at either Level 3 or 5 (Award).
Morning sessions will focus on the Bootcamp’s non-accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) content, from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. Some afternoon sessions, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, may extend the morning’s learning or offer tutorials for those seeking an accredited qualification.
Funding Options and Eligibility Criteria
Maximum attendance is a must from learners, see below the eligibility criteria:
• 100% funding for self-employed learners.
• 90% funded for SME’s, with a £345 per learner cost to the employer.
• Approx 80% funded for Non-SME’s, at £750 per learner, payable by the employer.
Participants must meet specific funding requirements, employed learners must demonstrate how they have taken on new responsibilities or projects within their organisation after completing the course. For self-employed learners, proof of securing a new business opportunity, such as a grant or commercial contract, will be required.
