IoT Horizon Ltd have officially partnered with Sustainable Investments Ltd (SI), a leading provider in decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and large-scale retrofit solutions across the UK.
As they embark on this next chapter, they’ll be known as Sustainable Smart Technologies Ltd – a name that reflects their deepened commitment to delivering smarter, healthier, and more sustainable environments for businesses and communities nationwide.
The partnership with Sustainable Investments strengthens their mission to positively impact society by creating safer, healthier, and energy-efficient buildings across both public and private sectors. Together, they’re building intelligence – uniting their expertise in data-driven technology with SI’s deep-rooted experience in sustainable building solutions.
With more than seven years of experience, they have focused on enhancing the wellbeing of building occupants through smart technology and advanced data insights. Their flagship digital platform, Neronis®, captures critical data on temperature, humidity, and air quality, providing clients with essential insights to improve safety, energy efficiency and occupant comfort. By integrating with SI’s extensive knowledge in decarbonisation, the scope and impact of their technology is being expanded, creating more sustainable, comfortable spaces for people across the UK.
Deyrick Allen, founder, said:
“Our work has always prioritised creating healthier, safer environments through improved air quality and energy efficiency. Partnering with Sustainable Investments enables us to scale this impact by bringing these insights to the housing sector, benefitting social housing providers and residents alike. This collaboration will help us realise our vision faster, creating meaningful change for communities across the UK.”
This partnership comes at a crucial time as awareness grows around air quality and the importance of healthier indoor environments. These combined capabilities will allow them to address these needs, particularly in residential areas, where the demand for improved air quality and energy efficiency is increasingly urgent.
Derek Horrocks, chair and owner of Sustainable Investments Ltd, emphasised the alignment of the two companies’ missions.
He said:
“Our businesses bring together expertise in housing decarbonisation and smart building technology. By joining forces, we’re advancing our shared goal to make homes and buildings warmer, healthier and more affordable to heat while also reducing environmental impact. Our partnership showcases how purpose-driven organisations are leading the way in creating positive social impact through sustainable building innovations.”
The rebranding as Sustainable Smart Technologies unites IoT with SI’s family of companies, including Sustainable Building Services (SBS), Sustainable Energy Services (SES) and Permarock Products Ltd, providing a unified front to promote smarter housing solutions across the UK.
The legacy of IoT Horizon lives on as family leadership continues to steer Sustainable Smart Technologies. Managing Director Niamh Allen and the existing team will retain a 24% share in the company, ensuring consistency for clients and maintaining the core focus on innovation and client service. They will also maintain their presence across the North West business landscape, with space at the Greater Manchester Digital Security Hub (DiSH), and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) in Daresbury, where they have had three cross-cluster funds.
As Sustainable Smart Technologies, we’re ready to make an even greater impact, delivering data-driven solutions that support healthier, greener buildings, workplaces, and leisure spaces. Together with Sustainable Investments Ltd, we’re leading the way in sustainable building intelligence, creating environments that are not only energy-efficient but also healthier and more comfortable for everyone who uses them.
