Businesses have been battling against each other for a common cause – to raise the most amount of money possible for East Lancashire Hospice.

Pupils at schools and colleges across East Lancashire are being invited to make a change with their change – to help raise much-needed funds for East Lancashire Hospice.

The hospice are inviting people to take part in their Charity Box Challenge – an exciting way for pupils to get involved in fundraising and support a great cause.

The challenge encourages students to raise money through creative fundraising activities or by doing jobs at home in exchange for donations to their charity box.

Jackie Morris, Community Fundraiser, said:

“The Charity Box Challenge is a really simple concept – we want to prove that every penny counts. Whether it’s loose change, pocket money or through fundraising, it all helps to make a difference.

“We want to encourage people to work together to support East Lancashire Hospice and make a lasting impact in our community!”

To register your school or college to take part in the Charity Box Challenge contact the fundraising team. Once registered, the charity will send out charity boxes and a welcome pack to be handed out to pupils.

After the fundraising period, one of the hospice’s friendly fundraisers will visit your school or college to collect the money and present each pupil with a certificate of achievement. They’ll also provide a presentation to celebrate the hard work and generosity of your students, families and friends.

If your child wants to take part individually you can call into one of the charity shops to collect your box today.

To register, please contact Jackie Morris on 01254 965875.
