Under the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme, certain products moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland must be labelled with the words “Not for EU” to meet regulatory compliance as part of a phased approach.

  • Phase 1 (from October 2023): Meat and dairy products
  • Phase 2 (from October 2024): This will expand to all milk and dairy products.
  • Phase 3 (from July 2025): Additional products, including composite items, fruits, vegetables, and fish

The full list of commodity codes for each phase is available in downloadable spreadsheets from the GOV.UK website.
