Rose Wright, International Trade Coordinator at Barnoldswick’s EP Climbing (UK) Ltd, has climbed to new heights after successfully completing the National Foundation Award in International Trade Qualification.
Awarded by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, the accreditation demonstrates Rose’s exceptional understanding of International Trade practices, and commitment to her professional development.
“In the recent years, EP Climbing has grown our international business, and these courses have been invaluable to help us in that process and install our climbing walls all over the world.”
EP Climbing is a world-leading provider of innovative and bespoke climbing walls. Over the past 38 years, we have empowered climbers in more than 30 countries by delivering cutting-edge climbing infrastructure, tailor-made by expert designers and engineers. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing units ensure the highest precision and finishing.
Speaking on how the International Business team helped her to achieve her award, Rose said:
“The team at East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce are incredibly knowledgeable, and these courses take topics that can be daunting and make them accessible and clear.
I would recommend these courses to anyone looking to further their professional skills relating to international trade, and to take the opportunity to ask questions that relate to your business’s specific needs so that you can make the most of the expert advice from the team at the East Lancs Chamber of Commerce.”
The National Foundation Award in International Trade Qualification, accredited by the British Chamber of Commerce, is a comprehensive program designed to equip businesses across the country with a highly skilled workforce ready to excel in international markets.
The programme offers a series of eleven centrally accredited courses covering a core export skills curriculum, central to support any export drive. Mapped to Level 2 NVQ terminology, they provide invaluable basic skills for small and large companies alike.
Mandy Lockett, International Business Director at East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, commented:
“Congratulations to Rose on achieving her Foundation Award with outstanding results on all of her assessments. Having studied topics including Incoterms, Customs Procedures, Trade Preference Origin and Practical Importing, Rose completed her final module of Inward and Outward Processing which has been quite timely as the business has just received full approval from HMRC to operate Inward Processing. This approval is a real asset for EP Climbing as it will enable them to import goods free of duty and VAT and re-export them, becoming more competitive on the international stage. We wish Rose and EP Climbing every success.”
The next Foundation Award in International Trade is scheduled to commence in July 2024. For enquiries about the programme, please contact Stef at s.heywood@chamberelancs.co.uk
