James Alpe Ltd are delighted to have been crowned winners of the ‘Workforce Development’ award at the Ribble Valley Awards.

Over the years, James Alpe Ltd have prioritised staff training through various methods including face-to-face sessions, e-learning, and online courses.

Their senior MET and Panel technicians have undergone specialised training at leading automotive manufacturers’ facilities such as Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes, and Volks Wagen Group, supplemented by online courses from manufacturer academies.  They’ve also provided on-site Hybrid Electric Vehicle training for both administrative and technical staff, as well as ADAS training for selected MET personnel.

In addition, their team has completed Health and Safety e-learning courses covering topics like general safety, the safe use of diisocyanatos, and hand arm vibration.  Their apprentices continue their Level 3 Apprenticeships, with guidance from their Training and Development Manager Steve Hodgson, fostering a pathway to employment within the company upon completion.

They are constantly ensuring the renewal of accreditations for their Senior Panel technicians through on-site welding assessments and provide Four Wheel Alignment training for all MET technicians.  Their paint technicians have benefited from on-site training provided by Cunbar, a trusted paint company, all delivered to industry standards set by the BSI.

Under James’s leadership, they prioritise investing in their workforce, nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth to anyone showing a willingness to learn.

Many of their Senior Technicians began as apprentices, highlighting their dedication to fostering talent within the company.
