RecycleIT is the proud winner of the ‘Environmental Sustainability Award’ at this year’s Best of Lancashire Awards in its 3rd year, brought to you by The Lancashire Post and Burnley Express at Crow Wood Hotel & Spa resort.
The awards recognise organisations and people in our communities who have gone the extra mile to help others via business or personal touch.
RecycleIT helps our communities in a number of different ways through its hugely popular National Sustainability Project.
The project itself offers a range of services not only by saving clients’ money in both the private and public sectors on their IT equipment by up to 50%, but also by offering to give money back to clients on their redundant IT equipment, whilst reusing or disposing of the equipment in an environmentally friendly way, all with 0% landfill.
Not only does the project cover the above but the unique project also offers a carbon offsetting programme, which supports a number of charities in Lancashire with IT donations and sponsorship. In 24 months RecycleIT has donated over £50,000 worth of IT equipment to their chosen charities such as Derain’s House, Healthier Heroes, Curry on the Street and many more.
This project enabled RecycleIT to win the Low Carbon Energy Award in April and claim the ‘Best Circular Economy Company’ in Lancashire, and now to sit alongside this the Burnley based company in September have now also won the Sustainability Champion award, fighting off stiff competition from Kepak Consumer Foods, Lancaster & Morecambe College, and The Bellflower.
