An enduring partnership with Lee Curwen, one of the esteemed employees at James Alpe, as an on-call firefighter for over two decades, exemplifies his extraordinary passion and dedication to the Fire & Rescue service.

These sentiments were echoed by Glen Dinsdale, the Watch Manager at Clitheroe Fire Station, who aptly highlighted that without Lee’s support, Clitheroe Station would lack a crucial fire engine, leaving Hyndburn as the nearest station with a 16-20 minute response time.

Listening to the inspiring stories shared by on-call firefighters was a truly humbling experience, and meeting the dedicated fire service personnel was equally heartwarming. The unwavering passion and commitment displayed by the entire team are nothing short of remarkable.
