Alongside an update of our asks on the UK-EU trading relationship, the new Manifesto contains recommendations on export support and strategies in key sectors, calls for a new performance-led Exports Council, and has specific asks on digital trade and green trade.

Commenting on the manifesto, “It is so important the Chamber understands your challenges and future opportunities within the world of commerce. We need your input, whether completing our Quarterly Economic Surveys or just contacting the International Department, your views can be fed into Government and help to shape the future of global trade” – Mandy Lockett, International Business Director, East Lancashire Chamber. Click here to receive our Quarterly Economic Survey questionnaire.

BCC is proud of the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit and resilience shown by business leaders and the hardworking people that make those businesses successful. Their success leads to thriving communities and a prosperous economy for the next generation.

In the remaining period of this Parliament, the BCC urges the UK Government to strike the right balance for growth without compromising our great public institutions which so many of us rely on. Time is of the essence.

The Government must work with the Chambers of Commerce to support, and turbo charge the ‘can do’, solution-oriented businesses across our country. We want to see a long-term growth plan that involves investment in people and skills; supports businesses to adapt and thrive; and build good relationships with our global allies to get British businesses selling again.

People run businesses and businesses rely on people. Our Business Manifesto offers solutions, including cost-free options, to get our economy moving in the right direction again.
