The aim of their latest project is to support the local community helping to improve physical health and quality of life, following on from successful projects up and down the country such as the Northern Lights Projects, Liverpool – to see more of the great work they do visit their website at https://www.nlpd2019.com/
One of the success stories of programmes such as Northern Lights and Mind 2 Muscle is that of Chris Lambert who is living with Parkinson’s disease. After struggling with Parkinson’s Chris reached out to support networks who helped him to build his physical and mental confidence which has led to Chris playing football once again via walking football. After not playing for over 13 years after his diagnosis. Since then, Chris has gone from strength to strength playing walking football weekly and participating in competitions around the country, this has accumulated in Chris recently representing England Parkinson’s walking football at Marine FC.
