Burnley College continues to pioneer in the world of strength and conditioning education as it becomes the first in the UK to launch a specialist course designed to create the trainers of the future.
The UKSCA level 3 Strength & Conditioning Trainer course is backed by two leading bodies, the UKSCA and CIMPSA, which will offer learners exclusive access to a huge library of resources including videos, conference presentations, webinars and articles.
As the only entry-level course in the UK endorsed by UKSCA and CIMPSA, it is a direct pathway to official accreditation as a strength and conditioning coach for those aged 19+.
Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach Martin Gallyer says it’s the key to a world of careers in the sport and fitness industry:
“Sport and fitness are a serious business. Whether you want to enhance the service you can provide to private customers in your own business, or you’re looking to progress to work for the leading sporting clubs in the UK, this qualification gives you the solid foundations you need.
“By working with partners from Burnley FC to England Lacrosse, we ensure we’re staying at the cutting-edge of training techniques, which we pass directly on to our students, helping them stand out from the crowd.”
The course is designed specifically for people looking to learn the fundamentals of strength and conditioning coaching such as physiotherapists, osteopaths, personal trainers, sport and fitness students, coaches and more.
Students will have the opportunity to work alongside high experienced athletes from the college’s Elite Athlete Programme which ensures young people already competing at the highest levels continue their personal growth both physically, competitively and academically.
The UKSCA has been the pre-eminent professional body for strength and conditioning practitioners for almost 20 years with the support of UK Sport with more than 2600 members.
CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector committed to inspiring the nation to become more active.
The course begins in September. Learn more: https://www.burnley.ac.uk/course/?Level-3-Diploma-for-UKSCA-Strength-and-Conditioning-Trainers&code=A7101
