For traders currently examining their options to determine if AEO trusted trader status is the right fit for their business or if alternative Customs reliefs such as Customs warehousing or inward processing, or even supply chain modification may be more appropriate.
What is Authorised Economic Operator?
AEO is an EU wide program designed for “trusted traders” who are able to demonstrate consistent quality, compliance and trustworthiness in their supply chain to Customs authorities. In 2017 the Chamber launched a new network for Manufacturing businesses entitled ‘Making it in Lancashire’, designed to provide Lancashire manufacturers with access to information, opportunities and best practice insights as well as providing a forum to meet with your peers.
We have a panel of speakers, Melissa Conlon AMRC, Made Smarter NW Pilot Project and Stephen Gregson from Moore and Smalley will deliver the key findings from their 2108 Manufacturing Survey.
We will also be given a site tour of the precision engineering plant which manufactures parts for Aerospace and Automotive.
These highly successful breakfast meetings are hosted by local manufacturers and usually include a factory or showroom tour, which have proven to be really popular. Our previous hosts include BAE Systems, Heritage Envelopes, Whatmore UK and LC Automation.
The network is designed to provide Lancashire manufacturers with access to information, opportunities and best practice insights as well as providing a forum to meet with your peers. Unlike many networks, Making it in Lancashire is a closed group and focuses on the needs of Manufacturing businesses only.
This free event is limited to 50 delegates so places will be allocated strictly on a first come, first served basis.
