Tracing our roots to 1887, East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has been at the heart of the region’s business community for over a century.
One of the oldest Chambers in the UK, our principles remain true. We exist to help improve the local economy and to support the interests of our members.
We are active at local, regional, national and international level. We liaise with key decision-making bodies both public and private sector whose programmes and influence impact and determine the environment in which your business operates.
Our core activities impact on vital topics including Skills, International Trade, Manufacturing, Energy Efficiency and Security, Environment and Legislation
We are the UK’s leading training chamber and our reputation for International Trade is nationally recognised.
For me membership of the Chamber of Commerce goes way beyond just a wider network of business contacts, although for that alone it is excellent. The heritage of the Chamber in Lancashire is inspirational and its connection to the wider British Chambers of Commerce is hugely valuable, it grants insights into UK and region wide government policy, education links and business sectors that are unique.
