The Boost Bespoke programme is designed to support ambitious businesses with the potential and determination to achieve significant sustainable business growth. Brexit for Importers and Exporters: 18 September, 22 October, 20 November 2019
Managing the business after Brexit, trade with EU businesses and non-EU businesses, import and export declarations, commodity codes, trade agreements, DDP deliveries, direct and in-direct exports, special procedures and regimes for importing.
Export Sales and International Quotations: 25 September 2019, 23 October, 12 December 2019
Payment terms to trade internationally, Incoterms® rules, how to price an export quotation, terms and conditions, insurance, workshop to build up a delivered price.
Exporting Practices and the Technicalities: 24 July, 3 September, 27 November 2019
HM Revenue and Customs regulations, tariff and commodity codes, evidence of removal, specific controls imposed, using freight forwarders, export documentation, workshop to calculate freight rates.
Importing Practices and the Technicalities: 10 September, 16 October, 28 November 2019
HM Revenue and Customs regulations, evaluating duty and VAT, investigating commodity codes, import documentation, the import agent, workshop to calculate the landed price of imported goods.
These half-day masterclasses are delivered at the East Lancashire Chamber Offices in Accrington.
Eligibility: SMEs trading for more than 3 years and have 10 or more staff.
AND, access one 12 months membership for one individual to attend future International Trade Club meetings, a taster of which includes:-
- 11 July 2019 – Brexit Update, HMRC
- 3 October 2019 – Dangerous Goods, UK Economy

International Trade Support to grow your business
…Introducing the Enhancing SME’s International Trade Performance ERDF programme
The East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and the Department for International Trade have enhanced their support for East Lancashire companies by expanding their team of experienced International Trade Advisors. This new support programme, launched February 2017, provides new and experienced exporters with tailored international trade support and financial assistance to help those businesses with the ambition and capacity to grow internationally.
There is a tremendous amount of support to help businesses to identify new priority markets, reach more customers worldwide and increase turnover.
This programme includes events, market visits, specialist consultancy and match funded grants of £1500-£3000 for eligible companies to support their export growth initiatives.
This programme complements Department for International Trade core services and the extensive portfolio of services available from the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, and is designed to help firms become better skilled and equipped to access new international markets. Through this programme you will be able to exploit new overseas growth opportunities and boost your export performance.

The Chamber offers in partnership with Department for International Trade the core services offered by the government to help UK based companies in to exporting. Their offering comprises of Events, Seminars, Tradeshow Access Programme, Overseas Market Introduction Service and Business Opportunities.
