The session was also rated ‘excellent’ by delegates in meeting their expectations, creating opportunity for participation, and being appropriate for the delegate’s needs.
Delegates will learn why we need a customs declaration, who needs to know and why. They’ll also hear about the rules, penalties and benefits of getting them right, alongside what a customs declaration is, the Government Gateway, plus how to pay for any duty liability (MOP) and your financial dashboard with PVA information.
The team will then cover understanding data requirements and provide a guide to completion rules and data elements, before looking at an example of an export and import declaration. Example information to supply to a customs broker/freight forwarder will also be demonstrated.
The session will then open up for help and advice, questions and assessments.
