The Marketing Mix was created following demand from the region’s professional marketers and their need for a forum to meet, share best practice and invest in their careers through continuous learning.
According to a recently published study by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, there is ‘an alarming lack of training for people in the middle of their careers’, which has prompted the focus of our next webinar.
We’ll be joined by guest speakers Matthew Briggs, Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeships at UCLan’s Burnley and Preston campuses and Patrick Cutliffe, Director of BuzzStart Academy.
The Importance of Developing Employee Skills
Matthew will provide a focus on the current situation and training development needs for workforces in our increasingly digital climate and his presentation will include a case study on Burnley based video production company BellyFlop TV.
Fast-tracking Women into Digital Leadership Job Roles with Partner Employers
Patrick’s presentation will discuss Digital Marketing Leadership and Innovation as a solution in the Talent programme to provide companies with female digital leaders for the future workforce. His presentation will include additional presentations from graduates of the digital bootcamp and their experiences.
Made possible by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Blackburn Youth Zone, The Marketing Mix is a group for client and agency-based marketing professionals across East Lancashire to access support and education about the latest news, opportunity and statistics from the industry.
