East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce’s International Business Department were delighted to host another successful International Trade Club Breakfast Meeting on Thursday 17th October 2024, held once again at Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa.

The event began by welcoming new International Trade Club members:

- Nicola Stollard and Liz Archer from Helical Technology
First to present was Christian Spence from Economic Analytics who provided an overview as the UK is evolving rapidly in response to a new government.
Next, we heard from Rob Lewtas, Department of Business and Trade on how to prepare your business for international expansion using the right financial tools.
The morning concluded with a presentation from Marie Burrows and Mandy Lockett from East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, as they took us through an import MRN, highlighting common errors and areas you must be aware of to ensure businesses remain HMRC compliant.
