We’re delighted to share our latest positive feedback for our Practical Exporting training session, held on 9th May 2023.

Our half-day intensive session received the following positive comments:

“The course relayed the importance of why we need to do the procedures explained.

“The information provided by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is detailed and personalised where possible. The courses are invaluable to ensure your business is getting it right.”

Rosie Wright – Entre-prises (UK) Limited

“Interesting course, and applicable to my company. I found the course relevant to what I do – it was presented well, with the opportunity to ask questions.”

Peter Unsworth – Fort Vale Engineering

“Excellent course – even when exporting full time, there are always things to learn. Very interesting.”

Emma Blanchard – Fort Vale Engineering

The session was also rated ‘excellent’ by numerous delegates in meeting their expectations, creating opportunity for participation, and being appropriate for the delegate’s needs.

Secure your place NOW for our next Practical Exporting training session on 30th November.

Delegates will hear an overview of an export department including sales and shipping procedures, what payment terms are available for exporters and a look at Incoterms® 2020.

We’ll then look at HM Revenue and Customs, why are the tariff and commodity codes so important, what are the systems and documents produced by HMRC and what is the evidence of removal, why are goods and services controlled leaving the UK and an insight into completing preference documents.

Next, you’ll learn about the role of the freight forwarder and the information you need to supply, the importance of the commercial invoice and other documents to accompany the shipment, plus why there is a need for insurance.

Finally, we’ll deliver an interactive group workshop on calculating freight rates, before offering help, advice, answering questions and giving assessments.
