The 2022 annual International Trade Club Gala Luncheon and Awards, sponsored by Forbes Solicitors and PM+M concluded on Thursday 1st December at Crow Wood Hotel hosted by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
All guests were greeted by Rocky and Charlie and their party of elves, for cuddles and photos.
Mandy Lockett, International Business Director, kicked started the day welcoming the guests, presenter and entertainment, followed by a short presentation from Mark Burkett, Department of International Trade, who provided an update on free trade agreement (FTA’s) and the UK’s continuity agreements including opportunities for the UK manufacturers.
Following the presentation we challenged our guests with a Christmas murder mystery (Grumbles in the Grotto) to discover who killed the head Chef – a big congratulations to the winning table, team Rudolph!
The prestigious Exporter awards showcased the achievements of International Business through previous years. With many applicants to choose from, our judges had a tough time choosing who should be awarded.
The three winners were presented with an engraved glass trophy and a bottle of champagne from John Pickervance, Forbes Solicitors, who congratulated all the winners:
Interfloor, Europe’s largest manufacturers of carpet underlay and flooring accessories, exporting into 80 countries to over 400 customers around the world with continuing global expansion.
N & J Aluminium Linings, manufacturing top quality aluminium pickup accessories. This year has seen exports to Sweden, Germany, France, Ireland, Portugal and numerous other European countries.
Pets Choice Limited who have recently opened new distribution channels into many countries with high growth plans next year – going for AEO status trusted exporter to open up other high growth markets.
The celebration was not over yet, our grand raffle prizes were gifted to the members, including generous donations from various different businesses involved with the International Trade Club.
Mandy Lockett, International Business Director wrapped up the day by thanking all guests for attending, and our sponsors Forbes Solicitors and PM+M for their continued support of the ITC, wishing everyone very Merry Christmas looking forward to our future events 2023.
