Lancashire Business Day – the celebration of all organisations that call the red rose county their home – returns on November 25 with its first in-person event in two years.
Taking place from 12pm, the special afternoon will feature inspiring talks, informative debates and networking with some of the county’s most successful entrepreneurs, businesses and influential figures.
Attendees will have the chance to meet, hear from and be inspired by various special guests with links to Lancashire including:
- Rachel Brown-Finnis, former England goalkeeper
- Peter Ahrens, managing director, Leyland Trucks
- Sandra Cottam-Shea, managing director, SCS Logistics
- George Critchley, chairman, True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners
- Simon Entwistle, Top Hat Tours
The Lancashire Business Day in-person event returns after an enforced two-year absence, when festivities took place online during the Covid-19 lockdown.
To mark its special return, the 2023 celebrations will take place at one of Lancashire’s most recognisable and best-loved brands: Accrington Stanley, with its newly refurbished 1968 Lounge providing the backdrop.
Guests are also invited to stay on after formal proceedings have drawn to a close to watch the England v USA World Cup fixture which will be broadcast in Coley’s Bar. Kick-off is 7pm.
Commemorated every year since 2017, Lancashire Business Day coincides with Lancashire Day (November 27) which celebrates the day when the county first sent representatives to parliament, over 700 years ago.
Details of the guest speakers are still to be revealed, but all Lancashire organisations are encouraged to begin their celebrations early using the #Lancashireandproud social media hashtag.
Rachael Norris, director of marketing and events for Lancashire Business View magazine which organises the annual event, said:
“Lancashire Business Day has been a popular way to meet other like-minded businesses, be inspired by the successes of others and celebrate with local food, drink and company.
“It was important to keep the tradition going even when we were limited to online events but we’re very excited for the return of the in-person programme. This is a truly one-of-a-kind celebration and best experienced in a room full of fellow Lancastrian businesses.”
