B&E Boys were delighted to welcome the family of the late Burnley FC legend Brian Miller to their new residential development off Brownside Road.

The brand-new homes will be situated on “Millers Green”, aptly named in Brian’s honour given his connection with the village of Worsthorne. Brian lived in the village for over 40 years, a large proportion of that time in the house directly next door to the setting of the new namesake housing scheme.  He even married his wife at the church located in the centre of the village.

Burnley FC was the only league club Brian played for, as well as managed on two separate occasions spanning over 7 years at the helm. He was in charge of the team for the infamous ‘Orient Game’ back in 1987 and one year later for a trip to Wembley in the Sherpa van trophy final. Brian’s son in law Derek Scott who also played for Burnley FC was invited to formally unveil the new street sign, along with Brian’s son, David Miller (also a former Burnley player) and Brian’s daughter Gillian Scott (wife of Derek).

The timing couldn’t have been better as the first properties are now ready for occupation, and they have begun to welcome the new residents onto the street.

Millers Green offers a range of stunning three & four bedroom family homes, built in natural stone, and each finished to a high specification.  All homes benefit from outstanding views of the surrounding countryside, as well as being ideally located close to the motorway network giving easy access to Burnley and Manchester, yet still appealing to those seeking the quiet village life.

The show home on site, a stunning 4 bedroom detached home with a garage is open to view every Saturday & Sunday 11am – 4pm with no appointment necessary.  If you would like to discuss this development in further detail, please contact B&E Boys on 01706 211 368 or the marketing agents Ryder & Dutton on 0161 925 3235 or email newhomes@ryder-dutton.co.uk.
