Northcote and East Lancashire Hospice have teamed up for their Corporate Challenge, and in their final month of fundraising, Northcote have announced their biggest raffle prize to date, worth over £1,000!

Northcote’s Obsession Festival is the ultimate Gastronomic experience, running between the 20^th January – 5^th February 2023. The official announcement for tickets and the Chefs line-up will be in Autumn, so keep your eyes peeled for all the details. But for those of you who cannot wait till then to get their spot, we are thrilled to offer this prize exclusively for this fund-raising initiative.

Each raffle ticket costs £10.00 and every penny raised goes directly to the Hospice. The draw will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 31^st August and the lucky winner will be contacted directly by Northcote.

East Lancashire Hospice provides much needed services to the people of Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, and the Ribble Valley – services which were considerably stretched during Covid and which are even more important now to the people of East Lancashire.

Leanne Green Head of Fundraising and Marketing at East Lancashire Hospice gave some insight.

“Our services support those with life limiting illnesses. This care can take place in the community, where Hospice at Home and our Clinical Services provide care; within the hospice, where CaST (Creative and Support Therapy) offer a reprieve, or with our counselling services and of course our Inpatient Unit.

“But these services are only partially funded. As an independent charity, the rest must be raised within the community.

“It costs £4 million to maintain our services this year; that is £11,000 a day. It is thanks to members of the East Lancashire Hospice Corporate Challenge, such as Northcote, that we can go some way to raise these much-needed funds.

“The raffle, offering the chance to win the first tickets issued for Obsession23 at Northcote, has already raised over £13,000; an astounding amount for which the hospice is truly thankful. Every penny of every ticket goes directly to the hospice. And Obsession23 really is a fantastic prize to win.”
