On Friday 12th August, at 10:30am, Daisy’s, for East Lancashire Hospice opened its doors to the people of Clitheroe and the surrounding areas.

This boutique style charity shop is the latest to join our new Daisy’s group of stores along with our Wilpshire store, which opened in May 2021 and our Great Harwood store in March 2022.

The idea is to combine luxury boutique style with a charitable focus whilst also adopting an ethical retail philosophy. Our newest Daisy’s is located at 7 Moor Lane, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 1BE.

Carl Barlow, Shop manager commented:

“It is the same friendly Clitheroe East Lancashire Hospice shop, but with our new branding. It is still the same volunteers, the same pre-loved items and the same charity serving the community.”

Carl described the community the shop presently serves:

“We are lucky that Clitheroe is a tourist town and a lot of tourists pop in when they visit. We have our regular locals, but we have been established here for over 14 years so we are well known and easy to find for return visitors.

“We are also lucky that we have around 24 volunteers, most of whom have been here since we first opened to help to run the shop. They have also been a part of our re-development; everyone has pitched in, either in decorating, the layout and the shop presentation. Husbands and family members of volunteers are donating flooring and kitchens and time. We are very fortunate.”

Darwen based Blue Insignia have again completed the shop front which makes it part of the new Daisy’s Group which features our beautiful logo and helps to establish the Clitheroe shop into our new concept charity retail outlet – a boutique charity shop for fashion lovers.

Zoe Holden, Daisy’s Cluster Manager for East Lancashire Hospice shops commented:

“We are very excited to be opening another Daisy’s, this Friday at Clitheroe. On behalf of everyone at the hospice we would like to thank Carl and the team for getting so much done in preparation.”
