Root Fifty-Two teamed up with The Brain Tumour Charity at the beginning of last year and launched The Power of Print– a scheme that sees 7.5% of the profits earned from print projects donated to the charity in an effort to help with raising awareness and boosting vital funds.
They are very excited to announce that so far at the end of June 22, they have managed to raise and donate £4,108 to The Brain Tumour Charity – the equivalent of 16 days of vital research!
Director, Kimberley, discovered that her father, Ian Harper, had been diagnosed with a primary brain tumour at the start of January 2019. From then on, Kimberley did everything in her power to learn more about the condition and became very involved in his care.
Since learning more about the illness, Kimberley partnered with The Brain Tumour Charity and was welcomed on board as a BRIAN Champion in 2020. This involved the testing of a new app (BRIAN) which has been specially designed to help those suffering after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. The incredible work being undertaken by the charity will help future patients, as well as their families and loved ones, with the vital support they need.
Kimberley continues to work hard in her partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, ensuring that all of Root Fifty-Two’s print projects raise money for the charity, with 7.5% of the funds earned for each job being donated to the cause.
Kimberley said:
“The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. The Brain Tumour Charity does such important work in supporting those diagnosed with a brain tumour, as well as their loved ones and the people who care for them. I can’t think of a better way to honour my dad and contribute to his legacy.”
Sadly, Ian lost his battle against the condition in September 2020, but his legacy lives on through ‘The Power of Print’ incentive; a cause Kimberley set up in loving memory of her father.
