HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) is proud to announce that they have made it through to the finals of the Lancashire Tourism Awards, in the category Dog Friendly Business.
The Award is given annually as part of Marketing Lancashire’s Tourism Awards which has 17 categories focussing on quality and hospitality offered at any destination or business within the Lancashire region.
Julie Pharaoh-Gan, HAPPA Head of Marketing & Fundraising, says of being nominated:
“Shores Hey Farm has undergone changes to ensure that we are inclusive to all visitors, including canine companions. With The Café now welcoming dogs on all the lower floor, and outside eating area, a selection of water dispensers and bowls readily available and cooling accessories for warmer weather, the site now has a great new track pathway which is ideal for walking your dog and seeing the horses in the fields. The Fussy Filly Shop also welcomes dogs with a great selection of treats and toys available to buy.
“HAPPA, Shores Hey Farm, Burnley, Lancashire BB10 3QU, nestles in a unique rural location with acres of countryside and walkways to explore. We recognise that many of our visitors are dog lovers, therefore would love to be able to bring them along to enjoy a great day out for ALL the family.
“Visitors make HAPPA, allowing the Charity to continue to provide a Second Chance to horses and ponies, without our visitors we simply couldn’t continue and therefore making the Farm as dog friendly as is possible is very important to us all.

“Making it through to the final of such a prestigious award means so much to everyone at the Charity. We wish all finalists the very best of luck.”
