The annual Hyndburn Business Awards celebrate the people and organisations that make Hyndburn a fantastic place to do business. They’ve been running since 2016 and this year’s award preparation is now in full swing, with new organiser Rachel Kay having taken the reins.
Given the events of the last two years, Rachel and the HBA team wanted businesses to be able to celebrate in style in 2022 and beyond. This year’s ceremony will be full black tie, have a fizz reception, three course meal plus coffee, and entertainment too – and more than a little touch of glitz and glamour. It will take place on the evening of Thursday 16 June at The Dunkenhalgh Hotel from 6pm. The Dunk is sponsoring a fizz reception for all guests and will have a preferential room rate too.
As well as upping the ante on the evening, there will be investment behind the scenes. The website is being upgraded before nominations open on 31 March, with entry from this year being wholly online. The processes for nomination, application, and judging are also being streamlined.
Rachel and the team have just started sourcing sponsors for HBA22. Sponsorship represents a super opportunity to help sustain and support the awards, to celebrate and champion local business in Hyndburn and to get some marvellous cost effective PR for your business. HBA22 Award Category Sponsorship for 2022 will give/support the following:

The HBA22 timeline:
31 March – Nominations open at 9am (Thursday) – nominations are made by customers, clients, the general public etc via our website for Hyndburn based businesses, all nominated businesses (who are eligible, ie. Based in Hyndburn) will be invited to enter the awards and select which categories they’d like to enter
21 April – Nominations close at 9am (Thursday)
24 April – All business entries to be in by midnight (Sunday)
12 May – HBA22 Finalists announced on social media and website (Thursday)
19 May – Judgement day in Accrington – venue tbc – (Thursday) – all sponsors will be asked to attend for a half hour slot to debate the winner with the HBA judges
16 June – 2022 Ceremony from 6pm in the newly refurbished Pendle suite and bar at The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, with fizz reception (Thursday)
