For Easter 2022, HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) are pulling out all the stops to ensure that the whole family is entertained over the Easter holidays.

Throughout the Easter break the Charity has planned activities and events at their Centre, Shores Hey Farm in Burnley, Lancashire. They are also encouraging food lovers to come and sample the new menu in the Café which includes a new kid’s menu, weekly specials and afternoon teas.

Starting on 1st April right through until the 23rd, the Dragon Egg Trail allows visitors to the Farm to be able to explore the site, find the eggs and collect and Easter gift.

The Beginners Guide to Horse and Pony Care courses are designed to cover all the basic knowledge needed to care for a horse or pony correctly. With a blend of classroom and hands on activities, an end of day assessment and certificate, this course is the best place to start if you are interested in owning your own horse or pony. Dates are available for or adults, children and this year, one especially for both parents and children to learn together.

Own a Pony Day explores the opportunity to discover what it is really like owning a pony with practical based activities and supporting the equine team in general duties of a busy yard. These courses are aimed at ages 7+ and are on Wednesdays throughout the school holidays.

Finally for the chance to get up close with a HAPPA pony there are Pony Grooming Sessions from Tuesday to Thursday over both weeks of the holidays.

The beautiful HAPPA horses are looking forward to seeing you all, including our recently rescued Crisp Gang and their ever so cute foal, HAPPA Mini Cheddar.
