A Blackburn-based training provider will be hosting on site events on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th February during National Apprenticeship Week.
Training 2000, who are part of the University of Central Lancashire and based in Blackburn, are back to hosting on site Apprenticeship events this week for young people interested in Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
The training provider delivers a variety of Traineeships and Apprenticeships with the focus of preparing people for the world of work.
The events will run at their Blackburn site between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th February 2022 as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
The theme for this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is #BuildTheFuture and these events are aimed at doing just that whilst introducing school leavers to the world of Apprenticeships.
The in person events will offer school leavers, their parents or carers or anyone interested in an Apprenticeship the opportunity to learn more about Training 2000’s programmes and the various pathways they provide to numerous careers up to a Degree level qualification.
Visitors will be able to learn more about how Training 2000 provides young people with real world paid learning experience via classroom based teaching, learning in the workplace and assessments throughout.
Traineeships can help school leavers gain knowledge and understanding of their chosen vocational area. Learners also learn key employability skills to aid them in their future careers.
You can then progress onto an Apprenticeship in; Accountancy, Automotive, Business, Digital, Dental, Engineering, Healthcare, Optical and Scaffolding.
Head of Business Development Karen Soames said:
“Typically, this time of year is busy at Training 2000 as we showcase the opportunities we provide for apprentices at career fairs and physical open events. This has not been possible over the past 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we have made the decision to return to our onsite Apprenticeship Events this year and to make them bigger than ever!
“You will be able to learn more about Training 2000 by speaking to industry professional tutors and learning about the real life experiences of past and present apprentices. We also have numerous employers with current vacancies showcasing at our events this year. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to our first on site Apprenticeship events in over 2 years!”
