Produced by the Department for International Trade (DIT), this publication contains the latest UK trade and investment statistics. It draws on a number of sources from the UK, including the Office for National Statistics (ONS), HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and DIT, and international databases.
Trade statistics inform how we meet the challenges of trade policy and promotion in the UK. The core statistics book provides detailed figures on:

- the trade balance
- total trade
- current account balance
- the UK’s bilateral trade surpluses and deficits

All the figures in the book are the most up to date, as at time of publication, the sources are clearly stated and there is an update schedule for future releases.
