The East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce prestigious Diamond Ambassador Network has a new sponsor.

Fast growing, Accrington based NORI HR And Employment Law will be the headline sponsor and contributors for the next twelve months, at key strategic meetings and learning events supporting CEOs and MDs from across the region.

Chamber of Commerce Diamond Ambassadors are consulted on policy and engage with organisations including Bank Of England, HMRC, LEP, Transport For The North amongst others to champion Lancashire and influence agendas around Northern Powerhouse and Government policy.

Supporting businesses of all sizes across the region and nationwide, NORI HR And Employment Law recognise the many opportunities that exist for East Lancashire businesses to adapt to recent challenges presented by Brexit, the pandemic and legislative changes in employment law.

Miranda Barker, Chief Executive of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new sponsorship, adding:

“We’re delighted to welcome NORI HR And Employment Law as sponsors of this high profile group, and look forward to working closely with them through 2022 as our members navigate the challenges posed by decarbonisation, post-brexit trade, COVID, skills shortages and more.

The support of our sponsors enables us to provide an engaging forum for business leaders to connect, and to ensure that their collective voice directs us as a chamber and feeds into local and central government policy makers.”

NORI HR Joint Managing Director Amrita Govindji-Bruce explained:

“Following an unprecedented 18 months with a triple hit of Brexit, the Covid-19 pandemic and the roll out of the government’s The Good Work Plan, the needs of business owners and employees have changed considerably.

“Working practices, recruitment and retention programmes, well-being of people and employment legislative changes mean business owners have to be more adaptable to change than ever before.

“With Lancashire currently taking part in the Department of Education’s UK Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), business owners are going to learn more about how we need to adapt to the needs and opportunities presented by our local labour market.

“This is a timely opportunity for NORI HR to support senior management teams put systems in place to enable organisational change, skills gap assessments, situational remedies and employee progression planning.

“Through our Diamond Ambassador sponsorship, our experienced team at NORI HR will deliver focussed workshops and engage in sector specific discussions to support employer needs.”

Govindji-Bruce continued:

“We also recognise the importance and benefits of collaboration and networking together. The Diamond Ambassador network and East Lancashire Chamber members have a wealth of expertise and specialist skills and through our sponsorship, we look forward to promoting and supporting our fellow members at industry and peer to peer events.”

East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce Membership Recruitment Manager Sarah Shaw added:

“Our Diamond Ambassador events are for me the highlight of our calendar as it’s a real pleasure to see business leaders from such diverse sectors support each other and the Chamber in representing the needs of the East Lancashire business community.

“The NORI HR team are a perfect fit, and this new collaboration will ensure we have an even more exciting range of content and events for 2022!”

The first event under the new sponsorship banner takes place at the Diamond Ambassadors Lunch on 9th December 2021.
