Lancashire-based LANX has now responded to increased demand from its rapidly growing audience of female followers to launch a women’s collection, having initially served a male market since they launched back in 2018.

This exciting new range goes live on July 3, 2021 with a stunning line-up of shoes and boots that incorporate LANX’s unique shoe design DNA, re-worked for a female audience.

Based in Whalley, a small village 35 miles north of Manchester, LANX has been a fresh and disruptive force in men’s footwear, a market renowned for its traditional approach.

The company’s aim is to create “modern shoes in which to work hard, play hard and look good in for any occasion – whether you’re in the boardroom or the bar.”  This mantra has seen LANX create a diverse collection of contemporary shoes in collaboration with various small independent shoemakers, using a range of modern and traditional shoemaking techniques and an innovative mix of leathers, tweeds and fabrics.

LANX Founder Marv, explains:

“When we started out we built our initial collections for men as this is where our primary expertise and experience lay. As we’ve developed our brand and carved out a space in the men’s footwear market, we’ve attracted an incredible following from women. They wanted to wear our existing styles but the size offering was an issue.

“So, the message was loud and clear – ‘woman-up’ and create similar shoes but with a female-specific fit. We can’t wait to see how women style our new range of boots and shoes this autumn and winter.”

Lily Kate, Lancashire-based knitwear designer, has also had her input into the new collection.

“LANX asked me and a number of other women to advise them on the development of their new collection.

“I actually bought their men’s shoes a few years back and have been encouraging them to develop a dedicated women’s range ever since. Over the last 12 months the team have worked tirelessly to perfect the design, quality and fit of the various styles.

“I’ve been “road testing” a pair of their new hiker style boots for a few months now and they are faultless. To contribute to the transformation of LANX from a men’s brand to one that now caters for both men and women has been an exciting process to be part of.”

The new LANX women’s collection features 21 shoes and boots in a range of styles, starting from £155 for the Harwood loafers. Other shoes in the range include the Dinckley toe-cap boots at £190, and the Langho brogue boots at £185. All the LANX women’s range are made from high grade genuine leather and are available in UK sizes 4-8, with plans to increase the size offering next year.

The new LANX women’s collection launches on July 3 and will be available online at www.lanxshoes.com and also at the company’s various pop-up shops and festivals around the UK.
