Can You Help? Unity College: Speed Networking Event - Local News

Unity college are holding a Speed networking event for their Year 9 students and are looking for employers to volunteer a little time to help.

Friday 3^rd February 2023, 8.30-12.30.

The Event

The purpose of the event is for you to talk about your career path

What subjects you studied at school, college, university
What you did next
What you have done to get where you are now
Future plans

This will be followed a by Q & A.  After 10 minutes, you will swap tables and the process will be repeated.  There will be no more than 10 students sat at a table at any one time.

This type of event gives the students the opportunity to learn about different career paths and inspires their future plans.

Each student will have a worksheet to note down any answers to questions they ask.

West Craven school are looking for employers to support their year 11s Mock interview day.

You will be helping the pupils understand the world of work and the roles within it.

Completing a Mock interview and then a discussion about the importance of GCSE grades and the entry routes into different roles within the business.

Employers can choose which day and time you are able to volunteer your time on the 20^th and 21^st of October, from 8.45- 3.15.

If you are available and would like to support us in school with our careers and enterprise program by attending this event or in any other capacity.
