HMRC: Furlough and SEISS Latest Stats Published

HMRC’s latest national, regional and trade statistics for the UK Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) and fourth iteration of the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) have gone live.

The CJRS stats provide analysis of claims made up to 31 May 2021, as submitted to HMRC by 14 June 2021. These provisional stats show the number of furloughed jobs in the UK has decreased from 3.5 million on 30 April compared to 2.4 million on 31 May 2021.

Meanwhile, updated figures have been released for SEISS 4 which cover claims up to 6 June 2021. They show 2.0 million claims have been made under SEISS 4 – a decrease from the 2.2 million under SEISS 3.

The next release of the CJRS official statistics is planned for 29 July 2021.

CJRS claims for the month of June 2021 must be submitted by 14 July 2021.
