Training 2000, based in Blackburn, will be taking part in National Apprenticeship Week with a variety of Virtual Open Days and activities.

National Apprenticeship Week 2021 is almost here, and this year more than ever we want to reflect and celebrate the impact of apprenticeships for both learners and employers and in turn for the wider community of England.

Training 2000 who are part of the University of Central Lancashire will be hosting live virtual open events during National Apprenticeship Week 2021 for young people interested in traineeships and apprenticeships.

The live events will take place via their website from 5pm on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 February 2021.

The live virtual events will offer school leavers, their parents or carers or anyone interested in an apprenticeship the opportunity to learn more about Training 2000’s apprenticeships and the various pathways they provide to numerous careers up to a Degree level qualification.

The theme for this year’s celebrations is Build the Future and it is a chance to acknowledge the impact apprenticeships can have on learners helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to pursue their chosen career.

‘Real world paid learning experience’

Virtual visitors will be able to learn more about how Training 2000 provides young people with real world paid learning experience via classroom based teaching, learning in the workplace and assessments throughout.

Apprenticeships are also a great way for employers to build a workforce with the skills they need to succeed as a company.

Training 2000 offer apprenticeships in the following areas; Accounting, Automotive, Business Admin, Customer Service, Dental Nursing, Digital, Engineering, Optics, Senior Healthcare Support Worker, Scaffolding and are always looking to expand this list.

Head of Business Development Karen Soames said:

“Typically, this time of year is busy at Training 2000 as we showcase the opportunities we provide for apprentices at career fairs and physical open events.

“That has not been possible this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“However, we have taken appropriate steps to ensure our upcoming open events will be just as informative online.

“You will be able to learn more about Training 2000 by watching our showcase videos, talk to industry professional tutors and read about the real life experiences of our past and present apprentices.

“We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible to our virtual open events.”

As well as virtual open events, Training 2000 will be taking part in the National Apprenticeship Week social media activity using the hashtags #NAW2021 #BuildTheFuture #AskAnApprentice #AskAnEmployer to help learners, employers and parents & carers to understand the benefits apprenticeships can bring.

National Apprenticeship Week is a time to celebrate success stories of past and present learners and Training 2000 will be doing just that on their social media channels such as  Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
