Chamber members Air Filtration Solutions are based on Roman Way industrial estate on the outskirts of Preston and are a specialist air filter manufacturer. Through constant development and innovation, they are designing and producing products that are not just different but are also helping to support the NHS through the Covid 19 pandemic. The current production focus is on respiratory medical grade masks.
Due to this increased production output they are now recruiting for 30 additional Factory Operatives to be based at the Preston site and these roles are offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a minimum 12-week period with the potential to become a permanent addition to the team at the end of this time. Applicants must have a willingness to learn new processes and procedures, alongside a good understanding of written and verbal instructions (which are provided in English), a proactive approach towards health, safety and product quality with the ability to work well as part of a team.
Desirable but not essential is experience of working in a factory environment, compliance with company health and safety procedures plus experience of working in manual assembly and component manufacture.
8 hour shifts available with 2 x 15 minutes unpaid breaks and a 30-minute paid break with an hourly rate of pay and after 12 weeks a performance related bonus is also payable.
They are also looking for Line Leaders – again a 12-week trial period with the possibility of being a permanent team member at the end of this time.
