How comfortable would you be staying at a hotel following the Coronavirus pandemic? Vision Support Services have launched a new range of linen which targets harmful pathogens head on, offering hotel guests reassurance as the hospitality market reawakens.

Introducing Vision’s ‘More Than Clean’ linen offer. A complete range of linen treated with an innovative antimicrobial technology tested to be effective in protecting against Coronavirus, E-coli and other harmful pathogens. This is a new type of clean, never before seen in the hospitality market.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, hotel brands around the world are announcing new cleaning programmes to reassure guests, ahead of the hospitality industry reawakening. To support this movement, Vision Support Services presents their More Than Clean linen program, a unique way to address those highest touch points in guest rooms; filled goods, bed and bath linen. This is something quite different from what has been seen on the market before – a new type of ‘clean’.

For over two years, Vision has been trialling and testing an innovative antimicrobial technology branded Micro-fresh®, which is added to pillows and duvets at the point of manufacture. The product efficacy has now been tested for the commercial environment, lasting for more than fifty washes, along with ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation, Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified (Classes I, II, III, IV), Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) approval and independently tested by SGS, Aston University and the University of Leicester.

“Proven to help protect against the spread of Coronavirus”

Bed and bath linen which have this effective and long-lasting antimicrobial technology applied have been proven to help protect against the spread of Coronavirus, killing more than 80% than untreated textiles and has up to 99.99% efficacy against harmful pathogens including E-coli, Legionella, Aspergillus, Niger (mould), Odour-Causing Bacteria, Listeria, MRSA, Salmonella.

Furthermore, Micro-Fresh® antimicrobial technology eliminates odours, leaving linens smelling fresher for longer and works at low temperature washing. Typically, clinical disinfection means running linens through a laundry process at temperatures over 72.5°C, which is not only expensive but reduces the lifecycle of linens.

There’s no need to worry about skin irritation with the treatment proven to be kind to human skin and free of restricted substances. The active ingredient is a natural and sustainable material, and better still, is vegan-friendly.

The process of switching to the More Than Clean linen program is simple and there are ways of treating existing pools of linen to enable the hotel to align to the program throughout all their linen without having to readdress their complete collection of bedding already in use.

In light of the recent pandemic, Vision believes that bringing More Than Clean to the market is the right thing to do morally, and as such has made the decision to switch all of its filled bed linen production to include the antimicrobial treatment.

More Than Clean is a complete antimicrobial treated textile offering available with immediate effect. For more information, visit More Than Clean.
