Last year Media Village reversed the traditional advent calendar. Instead of taking a tiny piece of chocolate each day for twenty five days, the whole team contributed an item a day for those who use Blackburn Foodbank this Christmas.
Media Village managed to create a community of local businesses who all wanted to get involved and give something back at Christmas. The popularity of the campaign spread quickly and over ten local Lancashire businesses started donating and collecting items for Blackburn Foodbank.
Last year’s campaign resulted in a donation of 868 meals totaling a donation of 364.34 kg to Blackburn Foodbank.
It’s safe to say that these results fueled Media Village’s motivation to bring this campaign back again for this year!
Media Village are looking for other local businesses to get involved and make a difference to those in need this Christmas.
