QDOS, who provide the Chamber’s members with HR, Legal and Health & Safety services as part of their membership, have produced “Step by Step Guide” to GDPR that attempts to explain a complex issue in “layman’s” language. It has been compiled by Jayne Egginton, who is the Director of Qdos Legal Services and a data protection expert.

You will find at the end of the document some GDPR Solutions. These provide cost effective ways in which members can take steps to make themselves compliant with GDPR.

As a member you already have access to free advice via the Legal Advice Line and online you will find these guidance notes which include a template audit form. You can also download a template Privacy Notice for £99 + vat which you will need to populate.

Further GDPR Support

This will not be the end of our GDPR support for our members.

  • From mid-March we will be adding some GDPR online e-learning modules onto our new website, enabling members to benefit from very cost-effective training programmes
  • Also, in March we aim to produce GDPR – Practical Applications – which you could class as case studies. This will present a variety of scenarios and explain how members can overcome the challenges and remain compliant. Jayne is now working on this for us.

The Chamber has arranged a further GDPR training event on April 19th. Book Online Now
