The North Lancashire Branch of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply

The Chamber of Commerce East Lancashire is proud to announce that it is the host of the North Lancashire Branch of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

The aim of the North Lancashire Branch is to provide development programmes and networking commercial39.jpgopportunities for like minded professionals and students across the region.

North Lancashire Branch activities will include tailored Speaker Events, Workshops, Seminars and visits to influential businesses within both the private and public sectors.  These activities will be held at a variety of locations which will include the Chamber of Commerce East Lancashire and nominated venues that reflect the quality of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the North Lancashire Branch and the topics to be delivered.

The events will have professional support from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, by the CIPS members at CCEL, including Stewart Maloney Commercial Director, Martin Toomey Commercial Manager, Reg Dyson from Blackburn College and Stuart Quinn from BAE Systems.commercial19.jpg

Branch events will enhance networking opportunities and raise the profile of procurement and CIPS membership benefits within the region.  For a considerable amount of Lancashire businesses it will be the first opportunity to network with CIPS members from other commercial backgrounds, this will serve to strengthen procurement’s profile in the region.  These events will create considerable opportunities for local businesses to view at first hand the overall benefits of CIPS membership. The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply will hold CIPS recruitment days for Lancashire businesses to promote the benefits of CIPS membership and education programmes.

The Chamber of Commerce East Lancashire is also an Accredited Study Centre for CIPS Training delivering Levels 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6.
