All businesses within the UK that export need export documentation. Errors in documentation are expensive. A mistake can delay the consignment encountering storage costs, which can escalate. Therefore the importance of these documents should not be under estimated.

The Chamber will operate a double timed counter service between the hours of 1000 - 1200 and 1400 - 1600 when documentation will be certified (if correct) while you wait. This will give exporters double the time to obtain certified documents.
The counter service charge is £10 (plus VAT) for members and £20 (plus VAT) for non-members.

Outside these hours documents can be left at our reception and returned by post or collected after 1200 hours the next day.

Formal Undertaking and Specimen Signatures - to be completed by all companies on company letterhead who produce export documentation and is held at the East Lancs Chamber of Commerce. To be updated on a yearly basis.

Standard Rules - to be read by all companies completing export documentation.

Instruction Form - to be completed by all companies on company letterhead and forwarded with the export documentation for certifying/legalising.

Indemnity Form - Arabic States - to be completed by all companies on company letterhead for consignments being exported to Arabic States using the European Community Certificate of Origin as opposed to the official Arab Certificate of Origin. This practice is subject to refusal by any one of the relevant authorities - therefore, we strongly advise that these are issued with the greatest of care and discipline.

Indemnity Form - Egyptian - to be completed by all companies on company letterhead for consignments being exported to Egypt for certification of documents by the East Lancs Chamber only and not certified/legalised by the Egyptian Chamber. Due to numerous consignments being held up in customs accruing high costs, we strongly recommend certification by the Egyptian Chamber.

Rejection Form - to be completed by the East Lancs Chamber of Commerce for returning rejected documents (please note rejection charge)
