Mike Damms, the Chamber’s long-serving Chief Executive has announced his intention to retire in the spring of 2017. In the next edition of Business Life he will reflect on his 23 years in office which has spanned from John Major as PM and the beginnings of the commercialisation of the internet to the modern day when manufacturing is back in fashion and the UK has voted for Brexit.

The Chamber’s Board have produced a detailed specification that highlights what the role involves as we move forward to the next stage of the Chamber’s, East Lancashire’s and Lancashire’s development.
